TEMIC releases new concept album ‘Ceiba’

Progressive metal supergroup TEMIC has released their second studio album, titled ‘Ceiba’, via the Season of Mist label. The release follows their 2023 debut, ‘Terror Management Theory’.

‘Ceiba’ is a concept album exploring the theme of loss in various forms, including pain, anger, fear, and silence. The title refers to the Ceiba tree, which holds sacred significance in Mayan culture as a connection between the earth, heaven, and the underworld. The band describes the work as being more progressive than their previous effort while remaining driven by emotional honesty.

The lineup features musicians including guitarist Eric Gillette, keyboardist Diego Tejeida, vocalist Fredrik Klemp, drummer Simen Sandnes, and bassist Miguel Pereira. To support the release, TEMIC is embarking on a European tour this October, featuring special guest Kingcrow, with scheduled dates in Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
