Temitope Osoba burial scheduled for September 10

The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, has announced September 10, 2026, as the new date for her burial in Iperu Remo, Ogun State. This follows an indefinite postponement of her original funeral, which was scheduled for August 13.

According to the family's obituary, her remains will depart the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu at 9:00 am. The burial service is set to take place between 10:00 am and 11:00 am at the Akesan Club, opposite the Iperu Morning Market, followed by interment at the Iperu Remo Cemetery. Mourners are requested to dress in white.

Osoba, a Yoruba-language actress and producer who died in August 2026 at age 40, had a career spanning nearly two decades. Her death has been subject to public scrutiny due to conflicting accounts regarding her final hours, leading some colleagues to call for an autopsy, while her family has urged against the spread of unverified claims.
