Temperature shifts and freezing conditions reported in Argentina and Uruguay

Significant temperature fluctuations are expected across parts of South America. In Concepción del Uruguay, Argentina, temperatures are set to rise until Thursday, reaching a peak maximum of 23°C. However, a cold air mass is forecasted to arrive on Friday, bringing instability, wind gusts, and a sharp decline in temperatures. By the weekend, maximum temperatures in the area are expected to drop to between 12°C and 13°C, with Sunday potentially seeing a minimum of 5°C.

In Uruguay, recent weather patterns have already brought freezing temperatures to several regions. The Lavalleja department recorded the country's lowest temperature at -4.2°C, while Florida reached -3°C. These sub-zero temperatures were primarily concentrated in the central, southern, southeastern, and eastern parts of the country. While temperatures are expected to moderate slightly throughout the week, fog and agricultural frost remain concerns for the region.
