Temple priest accused of assaulting minor in Ramachandrapuram

An elderly temple priest, identified as Sayanna, has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl inside a temple in Ramachandrapuram, Telangana. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

According to reports, the accused allegedly took the minor inside the temple and locked the premises from the outside. The matter came to light after local villagers observed the priest behaving inappropriately with the child. Some residents reportedly recorded video evidence of the behavior before alerting the authorities.

Ramachandrapuram police have registered a case and initiated a formal investigation. Law enforcement officials are currently collecting statements from the victim and witnesses, as well as examining evidence to determine how the minor entered the temple. The identity of the victim is being protected in accordance with legal provisions for child victims.
