Temple wearable pre-orders may open next week

Deepinder Goyal, founder of Zomato, has announced that pre-orders for Temple, a new wearable device, may open as early as next week. The device is designed to attach to the temple area of the head rather than the wrist or finger.

Temple utilizes proprietary Brain Flow technology to continuously track signals related to cerebral blood flow and oxygenation. Goyal has shared a study comparing the device's performance with time-domain near-infrared spectroscopy (TD-NIRS), though the research has not yet been peer-reviewed.

The launch edition will be available in six colors: True Gold, Rose Gold, Black Mirror, Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk. While a confirmed pre-order date is pending, the limited launch edition is expected to begin shipping before the end of 2026. Early access applications have been open since May, and those on the waitlist will receive priority. Pricing has not been officially confirmed, but Goyal previously hinted at a cost of approximately $1,000.
