Temple wearable undergoes major redesign by Deepinder Goyal

Deepinder Goyal, the former CEO of Zomato, has unveiled a major hardware redesign for Temple, a health-focused wearable device designed to monitor brain activity. The new version is reportedly less than half the size of previous prototypes and is being marketed as the smallest and most powerful wearable on the market volumetrically.

Temple is a headband-style device that attaches to the forehead to monitor cerebral blood flow and oxygenation. The data collected aims to provide insights into brain function, offering potential advantages for athletes regarding training load, recovery, and focus. The device was recently seen being worn by Indian badminton player PV Sindhu during the BWF World Championships in New Delhi.

Following a $54 million Series B funding round earlier this year, the company was recently valued at $375 million. Goyal announced that a limited launch edition will be available for pre-order soon, with initial shipments expected to begin before the end of 2026.
