Temporal seeks $500 million in funding at $12 billion valuation

Temporal Technologies Inc., a developer tooling provider specializing in application reliability, is reportedly in talks to raise approximately $500 million. This potential funding round could value the company at no less than $12 billion, more than doubling its valuation from its February funding round.

The company’s technology focuses on “durable execution,” an open-source platform that allows long-running applications and AI agents to recover from malfunctions without restarting tasks from scratch. By creating a chronological log of actions, the platform enables workloads to resume from the last successful step following a crash.

This shift in investment interest highlights a growing market focus on AI infrastructure providers that ensure system stability, moving beyond the primary focus on frontier-model developers. Temporal’s client list includes OpenAI, ADP, Block, and Yum! Brands.
