Tempsens Instruments IPO allotment expected following 184x subscription
Tempsens Instruments is expected to announce the basis of allotment for its ₹6.5-billion initial public offering (IPO) on August 25. The public issue, which opened on August 20 and closed on August 24, saw exceptionally high demand, resulting in an overall subscription of 184.07 times.
Investor demand was particularly strong in the Non-Institutional Investor (NII) segment, which was subscribed 314.44 times, and the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) category, which saw 302.88 times subscription. Retail Individual Investors subscribed to the offering 60.69 times. The IPO consisted of a fresh issue of ₹950 million and an offer for sale (OFS) of 185 million shares valued at ₹5.55 billion.
The company set a price band of ₹285–₹300 per equity share. While unofficial, the grey market premium (GMP) has indicated a potential listing gain of over 100%, with estimates suggesting a listing price of approximately ₹617. Successful applicants can expect shares to be credited to their demat accounts by August 27, ahead of the scheduled market debut on the BSE and NSE on August 28.
