Temptation Island 2026 moves to Monday to avoid World Cup clash, third episode brings heated confrontations

Mediaset has shifted the reality series Temptation Island 2026 from its original Wednesday slot to Monday evenings to avoid competing with the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches on Rai 1. The change takes effect after the third episode, which aired on Wednesday, 8 July, on Canale 5.

The third episode featured a dramatic “falò” request by contestant Gabriele, who waited for his partner Sara at the ceremonial fire, while other couples faced tensions: Cristian and Soraya argued over finances and loyalty, and several participants hinted at possible break‑ups. The episode drew about 8 million viewers (26.6 % share) despite the World Cup counter‑programming.

The move to Monday aims to preserve the show’s strong summer ratings and give it a clearer broadcast window before the World Cup’s decisive matches begin in August.
