Tempted to return in $1 million Concorde Stakes

The Ciaron Maher-trained mare Tempted is set to resume her racing campaign this weekend in the $1 million Group 2 Concorde Stakes at Randwick. The four-year-old will compete over 1000 metres, a distance she has rarely contested, marking only her second career start at that trip.

Following recent trials over 900m and 822m, trainer Ciaron Maher expressed confidence in the mare's sharpness. The Concorde Stakes serves as the opening step in Tempted's campaign toward The Everest, a 1200m event where she finished second last year. Since that race, she has maintained an unbeaten streak with victories in the Group 1 Surround Stakes and the Group 3 Eskimo Prince and Arrowfield Stakes.
