Temu baby play mat and ball pit recalled due to choking hazard

The National Authority for Consumer Protection and Trade (NKFH) has issued a warning regarding a baby play mat and ball pit sold on the Temu online marketplace due to a severe choking hazard. The recall follows notifications from EU market surveillance authorities and the Safety Gate alert system.

The affected product, model BB060 (batch number 202407012002), is manufactured by Shantu Cheigai (Yinggang Craft Factory) in China. Mechanical testing revealed that the textile strips securing the hanging animal figures to the support ring can easily detach. These small, detachable parts pose a significant risk to children under three years old, as they could be swallowed and obstruct airways.

Consumers who purchased this specific item via Temu are urged to remove it from their children's reach immediately and cease all use to prevent serious injury or death.
