Temu expands global reach by scaling small business sellers

Temu is positioning itself as a global distribution infrastructure for small businesses by facilitating international expansion. According to a study of sellers in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom, 50% of respondents expanded their business capacity, increased staff, or both after joining the marketplace. Approximately 34% of these sellers have begun operating in new international markets.

In Spain, over half of Temu sellers have expanded their product catalogs, warehouse sizes, or workforce. Many Spanish vendors reported receiving their first orders within one week of joining, citing high traffic and visibility as primary benefits. Roughly 60% of Spanish sellers are either currently or planning to sell to both national and international customers.

In Brazil, the Local Seller Program has seen significant results, with participating merchants reporting sales growth of nearly 25 times since joining.

Financially, parent company PDD Holdings reported a 13% increase in attributed net profit to 39.729 billion yuan (approximately 5.061 billion euros) for the first half of 2026. Revenue also rose by 9.5% to 27.847 billion euros, driven by growth in transaction and marketing services.
