Temuco celebrates Heritage Day with large program at Municipal Theatre
The Municipal Theatre "Camilo Salvo" in Temuco, Chile hosted a free Heritage Day celebration that drew hundreds of families, students, seniors and visitors from surrounding communes. Activities included an antiques exhibition organized with Fundación Rememora, a digital photographic album presentation, guided tours of normally closed areas of the theatre, and opportunities for attendees to dress in period costumes for photos.
The programme also featured performances by the Theatre’s adult choir and children’s choir, showcasing traditional zarzuelas. Theatre director Carolina Castillo praised the community response, saying the event helped strengthen the bond between citizens and one of the region’s most important cultural spaces. Fundación Rememora director Camila Albarrán highlighted the positive public reception and the sharing of memories through the displayed pieces.
