Ten Scottish athletes selected for European Athletics Championships

Ten Scottish athletes have been selected to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the European Athletics Championships held at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. The squad for the outdoor event is 96-strong following announcements from UK Athletics.

The Scottish cohort includes several athletes who previously competed for Team Scotland at the Commonwealth Games. Notable competitors include long jumper Stephen MacKenzie, steeplechaser Sarah Tait, and middle-distance runners Jemma Reekie and Erin Wallace, who are scheduled to compete in the Women's 800m. Other participants include Megan Keith in the 10,000m, Jake Wightman in the 1500m, and Laura Muir in the 1500m.
