Tencent announces Hy4 and Hy4 flash AI models

At the 2026 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference, Tencent announced the upcoming release of its Hy4 and Hy4 flash large language models.

The Hy4 model is designed to significantly improve reasoning efficiency and long-range productivity tasks compared to its predecessor, Hy4 preview. Notably, Hy4 will introduce visual understanding capabilities for the first time.

In contrast, the Hy4 flash model will focus on cost-efficiency and practical utility. It aims to provide high performance while maintaining a focus on extreme cost-effectiveness through deep co-design between the model and its products. The previous Hy4 preview model featured 770B total parameters and a context length exceeding 1M tokens.
