Tencent Cloud and Alibaba unveil AI infrastructure for embodied agents

At a June 5 2026 media briefing in Beijing’s National Conference Center, Tencent Cloud storage general manager Chen Zheng and LingSheng Technology partner Dr. Jiang Yuhua discussed the storage challenges of embodied AI. They highlighted the shift from pure compute power to long‑term context memory, introducing Tencent’s “Agent Bucket” and “Agent Runtime” suite that combines object storage, distributed caching, vector databases and security controls to handle fragmented image, video and sensor data with low latency and high concurrency.

Later, Alibaba announced that its 2026 Cloud Expo will run from September 22‑24 in Hangzhou. The event, themed “Intelligence Goes Beyond,” will centre on Agentic AI and showcase a full stack of chips, cloud infrastructure, model capabilities and applications, including embodied AI for robotics, automotive and finance. Over 2,000 global leaders and 1,000 companies are expected to participate across three main forums and more than 140 sub‑sessions.
