Tencent Cloud and U Mobile partner for 5G and AI in Malaysia

Tencent Cloud and U Mobile have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop 5G and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions tailored for enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia.

This collaboration represents Tencent Cloud’s first official AI-focused partnership with a Malaysian telecommunications provider. The initiative will integrate Tencent Cloud’s AI and cloud infrastructure with U Mobile’s ULTRA5G network and its Enterprise Innovation Platform (EIP).

Under the agreement, the companies will utilize a ‘Develop – Test – Demonstrate’ pathway to identify and validate enterprise applications. Successful use cases are intended to progress toward pilot deployments and commercialization. The partnership also includes plans for workshops, demonstrations, and technical knowledge exchanges involving developers, startups, and academia to support Malaysia’s digital transformation.
