Tencent Cloud launches DataBuddy AI workbench

Tencent Cloud has announced the launch of Tencent Cloud DataBuddy, a fully managed, agent-native Data + AI workbench. This marks the company’s third assistant-class product, following Tencent CodeBuddy and WorkBuddy.

The platform integrates intelligent agents designed to understand business logic and execute operational tasks within a governed framework. It focuses on four primary scenarios: Data Engineering, Data Governance, Data Analytics, and Data Science. Notably, the platform aims to reduce model deployment times from 30 days to seven days.

DataBuddy is built on three foundations: Unity Semantics for high-accuracy analysis, an Agent Runtime layer for enterprise governance and auditability, and OneOps to unify DataOps, MLOps, and AIOps. The service is currently available in China, Thailand, South Korea, and Indonesia, with planned rollouts in Europe, North America, and South America.
