Tencent Cloud, Rockstreamer power Bangladesh OTT sports streaming

Tencent Cloud and Rockstreamer announced a strategic partnership to deliver cloud, artificial‑intelligence, CDN and enterprise over‑the‑top (OTT) solutions for telecom operators, broadcasters, media companies and sports rights holders across Bangladesh and other emerging markets.

The first major deployment under the collaboration is Binge+, an OTT platform built for Bangladeshi telco Robi Axiata PLC. Re‑engineered on a cloud‑native architecture using Tencent Cloud’s infrastructure, the service supports high‑volume live streaming and rapid traffic fluctuations on Android, iOS, web, smart‑TV and operator applications.

Binge+ was stress‑tested during the 2026 global football tournament, delivering live coverage to millions of viewers in Bangladesh while maintaining performance amid massive audience surges.
