Tencent Esports Solution to power 11 events at 20th Asian Games
Tencent Esports Competition Solution (ECS) will provide end-to-end technical support for all 11 esports events at the 20th Asian Games. The competition is scheduled to take place from September 22 to October 2, 2026, at the Aichi Sky Expo in Japan.
As the largest esports programme in the history of the Asian Games, the event features 11 events across six game categories involving multiple publishers, game engines, and device formats. The ECS is designed to maintain a consistent framework across these diverse technical environments through three operational stages:
1. Pre-match: An Inspection Station performs checks on player peripherals, devices, and the competition environment while maintaining official records.
2. During competition: A Monitoring Console tracks over 30 real-time indicators, including network and device status, while consolidating various video feeds such as player POV, observer views, and hand cameras.
3. Post-match: A dedicated Review Room allows officials to access match records and footage for archiving and post-match review.
Tencent Esports previously supported the 19th Asian Games, recording zero technical incidents across 217 matches. To prepare for the 2026 games, the ECS underwent testing in Japan, Singapore, and Vietnam to validate performance across different network conditions.
