Tencent Games announces PUBG MOBILE LIGHT for November launch

Tencent Games has announced the upcoming November launch of PUBG MOBILE LIGHT, a streamlined version of the popular battle royale game designed to reduce storage requirements and improve performance on a wider range of devices.

The application aims to minimize storage impact, with initial download sizes expected to be under 1GB for Android and 2GB for iOS. Players can customize their installation by downloading additional maps, such as Miramar and Sanhok, and specific modes like Team Deathmatch or Metro Royale on demand.

Crucially, the new version will exist within the same ecosystem as the standard PUBG MOBILE. Players can use their existing accounts to retain friends lists and game data. The game will also support cross-play, allowing users of the LIGHT version to compete alongside players using the standard application.
