Tencent WeChat Input Method launches AI Voice Recorder

Tencent has introduced a new ‘AI Voice Recorder’ feature for its WeChat Input Method. The tool is designed to go beyond simple speech-to-text transcription by converting recorded audio into structured, organized webpages in real time.

The AI capability allows the tool to identify key points, organize logic, and remove redundant expressions or typos while maintaining the original meaning. It can also generate charts, diagrams, and interactive pages to make complex information more intuitive. Use cases include summarizing meetings, organizing lecture notes, creating travel itineraries, or documenting recipes.

Users can access the feature via the mobile app or keyboard toolbar, while desktop users can use the ‘V’ shortcut or system menu bars on Mac and Windows. The tool supports multi-device synchronization and allows users to share generated summaries directly with friends via WeChat.
