Tenda ME6 Pro offers budget Wi-Fi 7 mesh connectivity
The Tenda ME6 Pro is a budget-friendly Wi-Fi 7 mesh system priced at $219.99 for a three-pack. Designed for medium to large homes covering up to 6,600 square feet, the system is noted for being easy to install and manage.
Technically, the BE5100 system features a 1GHz dual-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, and five antennas per node. It offers combined data transmission speeds of nearly 5,100Mbps, split between 688Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 4,323Mbps on the 5GHz band. While it supports key Wi-Fi 7 technologies like 4x4 MU-MIMO and Multi-Link Operation (MLO), it lacks a 6GHz radio band and 320MHz channels.
Hardware connectivity includes a 2.5Gbps WAN port and two 1Gbps LAN ports per node, though it lacks multi-gig LAN ports and USB ports. Compared to competitors, the TP-Link Deco BE25 offers faster performance and multi-gig LAN ports at a similar price, while high-end options like the eero Pro 7 provide 6GHz support and additional wireless protocols.
