Tenda Tunnel to reopen without restrictions on November 30

Anas has confirmed that the Tenda Tunnel will return to ordinary circulation without any restrictions starting November 30. This follows a period of heavy maintenance and technical interventions focused on the French side of the road route.

The tunnel was subject to a total suspension of transit from September 21 to October 29 to facilitate the relocation of a hairpin turn involving earthworks. Following this, a limited reopening phase is scheduled from October 30 to November 1, during which traffic will only be permitted between the hours of 06:00 and 23:00.

Technical inspections conducted on October 16 by representatives of the Intergovernmental Commission verified the progress of the works. While specific transit rules for the period following November 1 are still to be formally established by the Commission, the completion of the hairpin turn works is set to allow full, unrestricted mobility by the end of November.
