Tenebra announces new EP ‘A Death Chant’

Italian hard rock band Tenebra has announced a new EP titled ‘A Death Chant’, scheduled for release on October 9th via the label New Heavy Sounds. This release marks the group's first new material since their 2022 album ‘Moongazer’ and serves as a precursor to a full-length album, ‘The Black Fanfare’, expected in 2027.

The EP features three tracks: ‘Death Chant’, ‘Drugs Are Overrated’, and ‘Tell Me What You See’. The band noted that the project explores a more experimental direction than their previous work, incorporating synthesizers, acoustic instrumentation, and sound manipulation into their signature heavy psychedelia and hard rock style.

Recorded and mixed live by the band and Bruno Germano at Vacuum Studio, the EP was mastered by Carl Saff. Thematically, the EP reflects on death and its acceptance, with the cover art inspired by medieval solar representations depicting a weeping sun.
