Tenerife acquires Casa de los Ventoso for art center

The Cabildo de Tenerife has completed the acquisition of the Casa de los Ventoso for 1.28 million euros. Located in Puerto de la Cruz, the historic complex will be transformed into a future interpretation center for contemporary production in Tenerife.

The building, which dates back to the 17th century, has served various roles over three centuries, including a private residence, a commercial headquarters, the Bremen Consulate, a town hall, a barracks, and a school. A notable feature is its 1750 tower, which remains the only intact tower of its kind in the Canary Islands.
