Tenerife and Galicia brace for cooler weather and storms on Saturday

The Spanish weather agency AEMET forecasts a cooler, cloudier Saturday for Tenerife. Inland areas will see a noticeable drop in maximum temperatures, with Santa Cruz expected to range between 22 °C and 27 °C. Light rain is possible in the north and southeast, while higher elevations remain mostly clear. A gentle to moderate northerly wind will affect the island.

In north‑west Spain, the heat will ease slightly but strong thunderstorms with hail are expected in Galicia, especially in the western interior. Temperatures will still reach 36 °C‑38 °C in parts of the region, and gusty winds may accompany the convective activity. Similar unsettled conditions are forecast for parts of the Cantabrian coast and the Pyrenees.
