Tenerife authorities initiate road works and safety requests

The Cabildo de Tenerife has initiated surface rehabilitation works on the TF-316 highway in the El Toscal area of Los Realejos. The project covers approximately 540 meters between kilometer points 0+300 and 0+840, connecting El Toscal with the Punta Brava neighborhood in Puerto de la Cruz. To minimize traffic disruption, maintenance is scheduled during night hours from September 10 to 11 and September 13 to 14, between 22:00 and 06:00. Drivers should expect alternating one-way traffic in the affected section.

Separately, the La Laguna City Council is requesting that the Cabildo de Tenerife implement safety measures on the TF-12 highway leading to the Las Mercedes mountain. Proposed improvements include pedestrian crossings, traffic calming measures, railings, fixed or mobile speed cameras, and enhanced signage.
