Tenerife Council advances Auditorio de Tenerife repairs
The Cabildo de Tenerife has launched a tender for technical supervision services to oversee repairs at the Auditorio Adán Martín. The contract, with a base budget of approximately 1.2 million euros, includes project management, execution oversight, and safety coordination over a 40-month period.
Initial tasks will involve using LiDAR laser scanning and drone technology to create a 3D digital model of the building. This model will be used to calculate the exact surfaces of the 'trencadís' cladding that require replacement and to verify previous construction certifications. A dedicated technician will also be required to supervise the placement of the cladding and waterproofing processes.
The repair project follows long-standing disputes regarding the financing and technical deficiencies of the building, which were first identified by an expert report in 2016.
