Tenerife emergency services respond to multiple fires and accidents

Tenerife has experienced a series of fire incidents and emergencies across the island over a 48-hour period. Emergency services, including the Tenerife Fire Department, responded to at least four separate fire outbreaks in Bajamar, La Orotava, and La Laguna. These incidents were contained before escalating into larger wildfires due to rapid intervention.

In addition to the fire outbreaks, emergency responders addressed several other incidents. These included a bus fire in the Las Chumberas tunnel on the TF-2 highway, a vehicle rollover in San Miguel de Abona, and a trash container fire in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Other interventions involved managing flooding in Icod de los Vinos and assisting with medical transfers in Garachico.
