Tenerife health centers receive over 10 million euro investment

The Canary Islands Ministry of Health has invested over 10 million euros in infrastructure improvements and works for health centers and local clinics in Tenerife since June 2023.

Key developments include the launch of four new clinics in Las Chafiras, Buenavista del Norte, El Sauzal, and Barroso. Specific investments include 2.2 million euros for Las Chafiras, 2.2 million euros for Buenavista del Norte, 1.3 million euros for the Barroso clinic in La Orotava, and approximately 986,676 euros for El Sauzal.

Additionally, nearly 3 million euros have been allocated to maintenance, climate control, and improvements across various primary care centers on the island. These upgrades have introduced new services, such as extraction rooms in Las Chafiras, El Sauzal, and Barroso-Colombo, as well as new resuscitation and observation rooms in San José de los Llanos.

Construction of the new local clinic in La Esperanza, El Rosario, has also been completed with an investment of approximately 2.3 million euros, with administrative procedures currently underway for its upcoming opening.
