Tenerife tourism attractions and activities

Tenerife offers a variety of tourist attractions ranging from coastal cities to specialized animal parks. In the north, Puerto de la Cruz features black volcanic beaches, street art in the La Ranilla district, and the Jardín Botánico, a tropical garden established in 1788 that houses a 200-year-old Australian fig tree.

In the southern part of the island, near Los Cristianos in Arona, the Monkey Park provides an alternative to larger theme parks. The facility focuses on allowing animals, including monkeys, lemurs, birds, and reptiles, to exhibit natural behaviors. The park is open daily from 09:30 to 16:00 and can typically be explored in about one hour.
