Tenerife: Two injured in TF-16 highway crash

A man and a woman were injured after their vehicle veered off the TF-16 highway and plunged into an agricultural field near Tejina, in the San Cristóbal de La Laguna municipality of Tenerife. The accident occurred around 7:40 PM on Sunday.

Emergency responders from the Tenerife Fire Department and Tegueste volunteers worked to secure the vehicle and free the occupants, who were trapped inside. The Canary Islands Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES 112) reported that the causes of the crash are still under investigation.

Medical personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) provided initial assessment on-site before transporting both individuals to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias (HUC) with moderate injuries.
