Tenjin Street Park to open in Fukuoka on October 30

A new urban sports and culture hub, the Boat Race Fukuoka Tenjin Street Park, is scheduled to open in Fukuoka City on October 30, 2026. Managed by Daiwa Lease Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Fukuoka City, the facility will feature one of Japan's largest indoor skateboarding areas, including dedicated sections for street and park disciplines.

The complex is designed to serve as a community gathering point, integrating sports, entertainment, and dining. It will include an event plaza, large-scale playground equipment, and various retail and food outlets. Notable tenants include Murasaki Park, which will host a field-integrated store and indoor skatepark, and the cafe Coffee Murasaki.

To celebrate the grand opening, a series of events will be held from October 30 to November 1. The festivities will feature performances and talk sessions by world-class skateboarders, including Olympic gold medalist Yuto Horigome and skater Moka Nishiya. Other activities include dance performances, beginner skateboarding workshops, and various food truck offerings.
