Tenjin Taiju: Mitsubishi Estate announces new Fukuoka landmark

Mitsubishi Estate has announced the name ‘Tenjin Taiju’ for the large-scale mixed-use complex being developed on the former site of the Imms building in Tenjin, Fukuoka City. The project is part of the ‘Tenjin Big Bangurban redevelopment initiative.

The 21-story building, which stands approximately 91 meters tall, is scheduled for completion in late May 2027. It will feature a combination of commercial spaces, offices, and the Seattle-based Ace Hotel, which will occupy the upper floors with 192 rooms.

A key feature of the development is the ‘OPEN LOBBY’ on the third floor, designed as a community space for office workers, hotel guests, and local residents. The Fukuoka-based coffee brand manucoffee will open a shop there. Additionally, the building will offer ‘ASSISTand,’ a service providing breakfast, lunch, and gift assistance for building employees. The project aims to foster a ‘Fukuoka cultural ecosystem’ through various community-focused initiatives.
