Tennessee and Kentucky prepare for ranked SEC rivalry matchup

No. 8 Kentucky and No. 16 Tennessee are set to face each other at Neyland Stadium this Saturday following bye weeks for both teams. The matchup features a significant SEC rivalry between the Wildcats, led by coach Will Stein, and the Volunteers.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel faces uncertainty regarding his starting quarterback. He has not yet named a starter between George MacIntyre and Faizon Brandon. MacIntyre has started the last three games, but recent performance against South Carolina included costly mistakes. Both players have struggled against SEC competition, as Tennessee currently ranks near the bottom of the conference in several offensive categories.

Kentucky enters the game with a 7-1 record, having risen one spot to No. 8 in the AP Poll. The Wildcats have been a notable surprise this season under Stein's leadership.
