Tennessee football defense dominates Alabama in decisive victory

The Tennessee Volunteers secured a significant 26-10 victory over Alabama at Neyland Stadium, marked by a dominant defensive performance. Led by defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, the Volunteers' defense stifled the Crimson Tide, contributing to a season where Tennessee leads the nation in sacks with 30.

Safety Dejuan Lane has emerged as a key contributor to the unit, which has forced 13 turnovers so far this season. Lane described the defensive approach as having an offensive mentality, noting the unit's ability to dictate play through aggressive schemes. The win follows a period of defensive rebuilding under Knowles, who joined the program after his tenure at Penn State.
