Tennessee gubernatorial candidates to face nonpartisan forum

The Tennessee Press Association will host a nonpartisan gubernatorial forum at Middle Tennessee State University on Tuesday, October 27. The event, which is not open to the public, will be streamed live by a student-led video production team from the Scott Borchetta College of Media and Entertainment.

Candidates invited to the forum include Republican nominee and U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn, Democratic nominee and Memphis City Councilmember Jerri Green, and independent candidates David Hatley and Lauren Pinkston. As of October 8, Green, Hatley, and Pinkston had confirmed their attendance, while Blackburn's participation remained unconfirmed. The forum serves as a key event ahead of the November 3 election day.
