Tennessee Senator Brent Taylor admits to sending unsolicited nude photos

Tennessee State Senator Brent Taylor has admitted to sending unsolicited nude photos to women while he was married. Taylor, a Republican running for the U.S. House in Tennessee’s 9th Congressional District, described the behavior as “youthful indiscretions,” despite the incidents occurring as recently as 2021 when he was 53 years old.

Taylor stated that his wife and his faith have provided him with redemption, telling the Nashville Scene, “My god and my wife have forgiven me, and I would consider everyone else doing the same.” He also claimed to Memphis’ ABC24 that the situation demonstrates his Christian redemption. While Taylor initially suggested the photos were sent to only one woman, reports indicate multiple sources had received them.

His opponent in the congressional race, State Representative Justin Pearson, criticized Taylor for dismissing the behavior, noting that the incidents occurred while Taylor held government office and were not actually “youthful.” Taylor is currently seeking reelection to the state Senate while simultaneously campaigning for the congressional seat.
