Tennessee Titans OC Brian Daboll expresses confidence in Cam Ward

Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll expressed full confidence in quarterback Cam Ward following a difficult Week 1 performance against the New York Jets. In his second professional season, Ward completed 19 of 32 passes for 140 yards and one touchdown in a loss to the Jets.

Daboll highlighted Ward’s athleticism, accuracy, and ability to make plays while moving, noting that the young quarterback played a role in his decision to join the team. Despite the opening loss, Daboll described the roster as a resilient group.

As the Titans prepare for a Week 2 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, Ward faces pressure to improve his decision-making speed and efficiency. Analysts suggest that for the Titans to reach their potential, Ward must demonstrate he can make quicker split-second calls and connect with open receivers to restore team and fan confidence.
