Tennessee Titans place guards Carmona and Slater on injured reserve

The Tennessee Titans have placed offensive guards Fernando Carmona and Jackson Slater on injured reserve following their loss to the New York Giants.

Carmona, a rookie who started the first three games of the season, suffered an ankle sprain during the opening series of Sunday's game. He is expected to miss several weeks, with Week 8 being the earliest possible return date.

Slater, who entered the game to replace Carmona, sustained a foot injury that head coach Robert Saleh described as “pretty significant.” While the team has not established a specific timeline for Slater, he is also expected to miss multiple games.

To address the depth issues on the offensive line, the Titans promoted guard Garrett Dellinger and running back Michael Carter from the practice squad to the active roster. The team also signed guard Nick Broeker, defensive back Jakob Robinson, and linebacker Owen Pappo to the practice squad.
