Tennessee Titans release Jordan Elliott after firearm incident

The Tennessee Titans have released defensive tackle Jordan Elliott following an incident at the team facility on October 15. Reports indicate that after an altercation with teammate JC Latham during practice, Elliott left the building and went to the players' parking lot to retrieve a firearm from his vehicle.

The situation was de-escalated by veteran defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers, and no injuries were reported. Security cameras reportedly captured the sequence of events. While the Titans' official statement was initially vague, citing only an unspecified "incident," subsequent reports confirmed the involvement of a weapon.

Titans head coach Robert Saleh defended Elliott's character during a press conference, describing the event as a “terrible lapse in judgment” and a “call for help” rather than a criminal act. Saleh expressed concern regarding the player's mental health and urged other NFL teams to consider Elliott's potential as a free agent. The NFL has confirmed that the incident is currently under review, as league policy strictly prohibits firearms at team facilities, stadiums, and team transportation.
