Tennessee Titans resisting trade interest in running back Tony Pollard
The Tennessee Titans are reportedly not planning to trade running back Tony Pollard, despite interest from other teams ahead of the November 10 deadline. While Pollard is an impending free agent on a rebuilding team, Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi has rebuffed inquiries. The organization reportedly values Pollard’s veteran leadership and his ability to support second-year quarterback Cam Ward.
Pollard, 29, has recorded four consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons and enters the season with 6,003 career rushing yards. Although the Titans' offense has struggled under coordinator Brian Daboll, Pollard remains a significant veteran presence.
In Cleveland, the Browns have been identified as a potential trade target for Pollard. The Browns, currently holding a 3-1 record, are looking to bolster a running game that has struggled with efficiency and injuries, including the loss of Dylan Sampson to knee injury. Adding Pollard would provide coach Todd Monken with an experienced playmaker to complement Quinshon Judkins.
