Tennessee Titans rule out Carnell Tate and Tyjae Spears

The Tennessee Titans have officially ruled out rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate and running back Tyjae Spears for their upcoming Week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Tate, who leads the team with 34 catches for 413 yards and a touchdown, is sidelined with a shoulder injury after missing all three practice days. Spears will also miss the matchup due to a knee injury.

The absences are expected to significantly impact the Titans' offensive workload. Running back Tony Pollard is anticipated to take on a larger role in the backfield following Spears' absence. Additionally, the team has ruled out punter Tommy Townsend due to a left knee injury, leading to the activation of veteran Thomas Morstead to handle punting duties.

Other players on the injury report include cornerback Jaylon Jones, who is questionable with a knee injury, and defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers, who is questionable with a groin and back injury. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley and linebacker Dorian Mausi are also listed as questionable.
