Tennessee Titans running backs face roster scrutiny and trade speculation

The Tennessee Titans' running back situation is facing scrutiny as the team navigates a rebuilding phase. Veteran Tony Pollard, currently in the final year of his contract, remains a primary contributor, having recorded 173 rushing yards at 4.6 yards per carry recently.

Speculation has emerged regarding a potential trade for Pollard. ESPN’s Dan Graziano suggested the Minnesota Vikings could be a viable landing spot, noting that Pollard would be affordable on the salary cap in 2026. The Vikings are reportedly looking for veteran stability at the position due to concerns regarding the age and usage of Aaron Jones Sr.

Within the Titans' roster, rookie Nick Singleton and Tyjae Spears are positioned as part of the team's future backfield. Singleton, a fifth-round pick from Penn State, has seen limited playing time, including a game with zero touches following a brief appearance against the Philadelphia Eagles. With Spears dealing with an ankle issue, Singleton may see increased opportunities in upcoming matchups.
