Tennessee Volunteers football highlights recruiting and 2026 schedule

The Tennessee Volunteers football program is seeing significant activity regarding its recruiting classes and upcoming 2026 season schedule. In recruiting, the 2027 class is nearing finalization, headlined by five-star running back David Gabriel-Georges and prospects Kesean Bowman and Kenneth Simon. The program is also actively attempting to flip Penn State commit Deonte Flemings. Looking further ahead, the 2029 recruiting class has seen early movement with wide receiver Maddox Porter being ranked as the No. 4 overall player and No. 2 receiver in initial rankings by Rivals.

Regarding the 2026 season, ESPN’s Bill Connelly has identified Tennessee as having one of the most prominent schedules in the SEC. The Volunteers are tied for the third-most ‘big games’ among SEC schools, with five weeks featuring high-profile matchups. These include home games against Auburn, Alabama, and LSU, as well as road contests at South Carolina and Texas A&M.
