Tennessee Volunteers rely on Bishop and defense to overcome Auburn

The Tennessee Volunteers secured a victory over the Auburn Tigers, driven largely by a dominant rushing performance from DeSean Bishop. Bishop recorded 220 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries, providing a necessary identity for the offense amidst passing game struggles and uncertainty at the quarterback position.

The Tennessee defense, led by coordinator Jim Knowles, has emerged as a national strength, currently ranking second in the country in sacks per game with an average of 4.0. This defensive unit is expected to face the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 6, where they will look to exploit an Arkansas offensive line that ranks 138th in pass-blocking efficiency.

Looking ahead to the matchup against Arkansas, Tennessee's success may depend on maintaining the momentum of their running game and continuing the high sack rate established by multiple defensive players.
