Tennis developments reported in Argentina and Chile

In Villa María, Argentina, the Sport Social Club is finalizing preparations for an international tennis tournament. Club president Leandro Fiol announced the construction of a stadium for 800 spectators and three dedicated competition courts. The event will offer free admission from November 1 through the round of 16, while ticketed matches for the quarterfinals and subsequent rounds will be broadcast on Fox Sports.

In Alto Hospicio, Chile, youth tennis players Juan Soto and Agustina Araya, coached by Sergio Gallardo, are preparing for upcoming competitions. Soto has qualified for the National School Tennis tournament in Santiago, scheduled for December 4 to 8 at the National Stadium. The team is currently seeking access to clay courts to better prepare for the national competition, as they currently only have access to cement courts.
