Tennis: Results from Braga Open and Antofagasta Challenger

In the second round of the Braga Open ATP Challenger 75 in Portugal, several local players were eliminated. João Domingues lost to Vilius Gaubas with scores of 6-1 and 7-5. Gonçalo Marques also exited the tournament after a 6-3, 6-4 defeat against Spain’s Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo. Tiago Pereira and Tiago Torres remain as the sole Portuguese representatives in the competition.

In Chile, at the Antofagasta Challenger 75, Brazilian players José Pereira and João Schiessl successfully navigated the qualifying rounds to enter the main draw. Pereira defeated Mateus Alves 6-3, while Schiessl beat Alan Magadan 6-1, 6-4. A total of nine Brazilian players are scheduled to compete in the main draw of the tournament.
