Tenshin Nasukawa addresses loss to Takuma Inoue and social media criticism

Professional boxer Tenshin Nasukawa held an informal press conference to address his recent loss to Takuma Inoue in the WBC world bantamweight title match on September 27. Nasukawa clarified his previous controversial comments, explaining that when he stated he “did not feel like he lost,” he was referring to his personal resolve and the need to maintain hope to move forward, rather than disputing the official judges' decision.

Nasukawa also addressed the intense social media criticism following the fight. He described the online backlash as a “social problem” and a form of “group bullying,” stating his intention to stand up against such behavior for the sake of society. He urged followers to engage in constructive debate rather than spreading negativity and noted that he does not respond to online attacks to avoid fueling endless cycles of conflict.

Regarding his future, Nasukawa announced a shift in his approach. He stated he intends to move away from purely point-based boxing to pursue “fighting” (kentou), focusing on the intensity and mutual drive to win rather than just technical scoring.
